Rather a nice touch of the reunion/party arrangements was that C had booked a hall and provided us with breakfast this morning - so we also had more catching-up time without the distraction of music & dance.

We'd mulled on a few candidate places to stop off en route back to the hills but when another couple said they were stopping off at Stowe landscape gardens that made the choice a lot easier and so we met up with D & L there and had wander round in the erratic, and viscously cold, weather.
