How do you make great photos?

When I first started this blog, I thought it might be interesting to share articles, once in a while, that have particular relevance to photography. 

In that spirit, here's a link to a short video produced by National Geographic, which addresses the relationship between their photographers and their photo editors. There's a true synergy between these two groups of people behind the scene.

I'd love to get your feedback on whether you find that kind of posting useful on the community blog and whether you'd like to see a few more of these -- once in a while, of course.
