Laindon Centre - and so the trees are going

It's sad to see these trees chopped down as they've been here longer than I've lived in the area.
At least some good was coming of it.  An old guy was surreptitiously removing a few logs to his car.  "They're for my Log Burning Stove" he told me.  "I thought I'd take a few while no-one was around"  I don't know what he made of me taking photos as he pinched them.
