Rocks of Solitude

The Rocks of Solitude is the lovely name of a narrow gorge that the River North Esk runs through and causes some spectacular waterfalls.

We parked at Edzell and walked alongside the river until we reached the gorge, was fascinating to watch the salmon loup (leap) upstream sadly I'm not a good enough photographer to catch that shot!
