Soup

Today is Ash Wednesday and when I went into school for reading there was a short Liturgy so the children could receive the ashes and learn what it was all about. (It was nice to get away from all the commercialism and incessant reminding of Valentines Day. )
I went to aqua this morning what a fantastic class, the instructor is fabulous she had all 50 of us in lines across the pool holding hands and being tiller girls in the water what a great way to start your day. I always leave feeling uplifted and having laughed for 45 mins. It had snowed when I came out and it was very slippy for walking. Thankfully this mush didn't last long but that cold wind seems to get icier!
Of course with it being Ash Wednesday I have eaten frugally so made a pan of vegetable soup. 
There is a story behind the pan and the tile next to it, both concern Simon. I'll save them for another blip as its camera club tonight.
