Hôtel de Ville Plaza

At Paris's Town Hall today (on the left in the blip), we  visited a creative and fascinating exhibition on Che Guevara (1928-67), simply entitled Le Che (there's no good site on the show; here's a French newspaper article on it). Che spoke French (he was an intense intellectual in addition to many other things), and he loved Paris, visiting it in 1963-64 and 1965. In addition to  displays on his life and his activities in Paris, the exhibition includes over a dozen commissioned works  by contemporary artists inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's Ship of Fools in the Louvre (a reproduction is displayed), which Che adored. Definitely the most inventive concept for an exhibition that I can recall.
