Merlin doesn't like heat

He always lays in the cool spot,in the summer we soak a towel to wrap around him ,~~~~~~~~~~ so why does he lay under the oven in this fashion while food is cooking,~~~~~~~~~~~ does he look starving Hmmm! no I think.
