Twelfth Night

Tonight at the Cameo cinema in Edinburgh we saw a production of Twelfth Night broadcast live from the RSC Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Set in late Victorian time, it was delightful. I’ve always loved Shakespeare performed out of context. At school (a long time ago), I remember seeing Macbeth on a white stage with the actors in tracksuits - the king wore a badge in the shape of a crown.

We’ve done a few of these ‘theatre live at the cinema’ events and always enjoy them. Next best thing to being there.
