Crane lorry on the rails
This lorry with a crane on the back has been on the railway line at Cambrian Heritage Railways for some time. It won't be doing any work at the moment as the cab windscreen is smashed. I assume it's been vandalised but I don't know.
The building at the back is the Grade II listed Cambrian Railway works from when Oswestry was a railway town in the boom years. It closed in 1966 when Beeching's cuts closed the railway.
It now houses the town's health centre and minor injuries plus other businesses such as an antiques centre and cafe. It's good that this historic building has found a new use.
