Where is everyone??

This was the teachers' room this morning at 8am, no-one in sight!   I actually wondered for a second if I'd gone into the weekend by mistake!  By late afternoon it was like a zoo with every single seat in the place taken and all computers occupied!! 

That's week 3 over on this current course and the small group of just 6 trainees is a delight to work with and still smiling and motivated after 3 intensive weeks.  At least three of them are applying to join the new intake on the teacher support programme and one other is thinking seriously about it.  We must be doing something right!  We have our assessor with us on Sunday - someone coming from Oman this time and we've never met before.  Rumour has it he's a bit fussy, so fingers crossed.  The trainees are definitely very happy and there are clear signs of training.  If someone has forgotten to circle something or tick a box in their portfolio, then we'll deal with it!   They were very patient  at the end of the day today when we did the usual checking of everything - they clearly want things to be right!  Bless them.   Eventually the weekend started when I left the BC at 8pm.   Joined Bb in The Flamenco Hotel in Zamalek and we decided to just stay and eat there.  Bad decision!   45 mins for a club sandwich and chips to arrive which we intended to share (both had late lunches) and everything was cold!   By that time we couldn't be bothered going anywhere else, so dinner was a glass of rose wine!
