Grasmere

First opportunity in nearly a week to get out and stretch my legs. It was nice to see the fells again after a brief interlude in Kent visiting my parents. Did a circuit of Rydal Water and Grasmere starting near to White Moss and including the coffin route, Rydal Cave, Loughrigg Terrace and most of Loughrigg. Weather slightly better than forecast with the odd bright spell. I gave up attempting to climb to the top of Loughrigg as there were just too many people on the narrow, eroded, engineered path up from the terrace. I haven't been up Loughrigg for ages so will return next week when it is quieter and take the more interesting route up rom Ambleside.
