Orange and white

These flowers represent the orange of holland and white rose of Yorkshire. Went to see mums resting place today, which was nice and peaceful and the flowers we put down yesterday still looked beautiful.

Today has been a full day. Spent the morning with anouk, she showed me around her hospital and the maternity unit. It was so interesting to see, I have seen so many good processes and practices that it will be fun taking some of the ideas back home.

We went to see Oma this afternoon and she told us so many happy stories about mum. She told us of the funny things that mum used to say when she was little. We also spent time remembering the old house and the stories I have heard about the next door neighbour were amazing. It was like an episode of eastenders with fires, murders and sex shops!!

We went to mass tonight with everyone in the family and the priest did a lovely service. He mispronounced our surname about 5 times, which did make me smile. Oma apparently couldn't understand a word the priest said!!

We went back to chinta's house for cake and coffee and spent some time with my aunts and cousins which was lovely.

Missing Carl today so looking forward to heading home... Only 2 sleeps to go. I know mum will be happy we brought her ashes back to Maastricht and I'm glad we were able to do that for her and Oma.
