Ugly

I had to choose between two photos for today, pretty or ugly.  The ugly came out as I anticipated so I felt it necessary to give it priority: it's another burned out car.  They are less frequent these days, but its presence jars the senses somewhat.  It means that there was someone close by whose sense of the countryside differs wildly from mine; I was no angel in my youth, but I wonder if I might ever have contemplated such vandalism.

The extra photo is of one of our bunches of crocuses, translucent in the light of the low sun.  I have (yet again) managed not to get the focus just right – I should have used a tripod and manual focus – but it's attractive to me nonetheless.
