Today was the funeral of grand northern trainer Malcolm Jefferson . . . a real gentle man and a gentleman. Horse Racing will surely miss his input and enthusiasm. Best wishes to his daughter Ruth and the new training partnership. She had her first winner yesterday ridden, of course, by Brian Hughes !
