International Blip meet
I had a delightful morning with my blipfriend, Dr. Precious who has been in Boston and Plymouth this week. She's been here on a very quick, second whirlwind trip to Massachusetts from Cornwall. We met for the first time(well, after a long friendship on blip) last spring on her first trip stateside. Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) in England, where she is Director of Engagement and Learning, will retell the voyage of the Mayflower, 400 years ago in 2020 from both the perspective of the voyage, as well as the Native Americans who met them in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The theater will parner with the Wampanoag Native American community in the development of the piece including the script and music, as well as taking part in the final production alongside the Plymouth, UK, community. We were lucky to find two hours that we could meet before she left to go back home. As a Mayflower descendant (ancestral links to three Pilgrims) I'm especially interested in the celebrations coming in 2020.
It's been quite a blipcentic week, a dinner invite for an evening in March, a package of delicious UK sweets and some goodies for little Nora and an international blipmeet today. It will soon be time for the Boston Marathon and that will bring some old blip friends from Canada, human and canine! What a lovely community we have here.
For the Record,
This day came in damp and dreary with warm temps for February.
All hands listening closely to the new Russian investigation news.
