Chicken Biryani

This is not the best food picture I've taken, but you really couldn't take a top shot of it because it's the pyramid shape I wanted to capture. G is very kindly holding up her dinner plate to give an idea of scale.

We had to organise a remittance for my nephew, so I picked Wafi as we could kill two birds with one stone. Money sent, we headed to The Square, where instead of ordering our usual omelettes, we ordered this, having seen Jane's when she had it on Monday! Everyone over there seems to know our order, and even the waitress commented about doing something different. And in between the main and dessert course, the Chef came out to meet us!

It turns out he's been in Dubai for 33 years, so has quite a story to tell. We encouraged him to record it on our new website! Dessert was a dark chocolate coolant which I didn't get a picture of because I was in too much of a hurry to eat it!

A quiet afternoon and evening. Some music was played in preparation for tomorrow. G got her recorder out.
