Mexican Jay in the Rain

We drove to Madera Canyon to go hiking but when I saw all the birds at the Lodge, I opted out and the others went off in the rain for two hours.  Fortunately, I was able to sit under an umbrella with my cameras and watch all kinds of birds that I have never seen before.  At first, it was quite foggy, but soon it lifted and I quite enjoyed myself.  Some of my other shots of the day can be found here on Flickr.

We have been in Arizona for 36 hours and it hasn't stopped raining....

We have begun to overdose on Tex-Mex, so tonight we went for a delicious French dinner.
