What a day! I took the bus to St Paul's from Jane's flat and walked across the Millennium Bridge then went to pick up my ticket at the Globe's box office. Had tea there before heading to the Tate Modern next door where I met with (jingly)Jan (four years after meeting her at the Science Museum https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3985973 ) and her husband Mark whom I met for the first time.

We visited the Modigliani exhibition which is brilliant (there's even a virtual reality room where you are transported to his last workshop) then had lunch in a Turkish restaurant nearby.

After lunch, Jan and I went to explore the new wing in the Tate's building, then walked along the South Bank towards the National Theatre and met with Mark again after his meeting.

The day was concluded by us walking towards Waterloo Station where Jan and Mark took their train and I caught a bus back to Jane's flat.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Chinatown and All's Well That Ends Well at the Globe (actually, at the Sam Wannamaker Playhouse).
