"Oubaas"

Field Marshall Jan Smuts was a prominent South African and British Commonwealth Statesman.
He served as Prime Minister of the then Union of South Africa from 1919-1924 and from 1939-1948.

This statue stands in the garden of Smuts House on his farm Doornkop, Pretoria.

The home is now a museum.
