Too close to call

Watched TV today as the women curled for the Canadian Championship at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. In this draw, Ontario played Newfoundland and Labrador.

In the 6th end, a rock thrown earlier in the end was tapped back through the house where it jammed on a stone to stop just past the back of the house where it could not be counted. However, sometime the camera angles are off and other times the rings are perfectly shaped or sized, so team Ontario requested a measure from the game official. The measuring device used has exact specifications and following the measure the rock was good.

After six ends of play, Ontario was down by just one point. Newfoundland and Labrador had the game in control though and went on to win 8-5.
