First GOLD!

An unlikely winner, everyone thought -- Carlijn Achtereekte, who won GOLD today for the 3 km. women's race!  In fact, we had a clean sweep today!  Irene Wüst won silver and Marrit Leenstra took the bronze.  Quite a promising start to the Games in Pyeongchang.

Aside from the Games, there was some housekeeping, Death in Paradise, and my International Relations MOOC.  I have also been counting down -- two more weeks before departure.  Not sure I am looking forward to it.
