Cornish Pastiche
Peter Heaton, who had invited me to the exhibition yesterday, was showing some really interesting and eclectic black and white images. Shot out in the open air, direct shooting with prime lenses (interesting on location props, not much post-PS), traditional printing. Fab.
We nattered and agreed that there’s too much pristine in some current photography. We’ve agreed to meet up and chew the fat over a beer or coffee..
There was another photographer exhibiting there too.
Big landscapes: large glistening, irridescent rocks with lots of detail in the foreground, many rock pools, blue skies, razor sharp from front to back (pick out leaves on trees at a thousand yards), glorious colors (pink sunsets and dreamy dawns), iconic signature. Top dollars.
I thought, I'm gonna give that a go...
