Clubbed

This "prestigious" trophy is awarded to the annual winner of our 5 Club Challenge (normally a player is allowed a maximum of 14 clubs) and for the last three years it's resided at Chez Broon.

The first year I brought it home Mrs B patted me on the back, said well done and the trophy took pride of place on the mantelpiece.........for a couple of days before it was disappeared to the back of a cupboard!

The following year I won it again and brought the trophy back. Mrs B said well done but did I really have to bring that thing back and put it straight into the cupboard.

Last year I returned with the trophy following the cancellation of the event due to bad weather. "What the blip is that thing doing back?" cried Mrs B and threw it to the back of the aforementioned cupboard. 

So today as I headed off to play in the annual event, I was warned explicitly where the trophy would reside if I dare bring it back.

In the end she didn't have to worry. Not winning a competition has never been so easy!
