Hermit Thrush

You may remember that our somewhat shy and sly friend the hermit thrush was briefly spotted in the cafeteria at the Olympic Village shortly before the Alternative Olympic Games began. Today we were pleased to see him atop the podium after his gold medal performance in the *popping up when you least expect to see* him competition. Congratulations! And well played...

Shortly after this photograph was taken it began to rain at the Olympic Village and most of the competitors whose events were cancelled are back in the cafeteria carb loading in anticipation of a fuller than originally planned schedule of events tomorrow. Those with early morning events are hoping against hope the rain doesn't change to ice. Or worse.
