Crocuses and a talk about Merlin

These crocuses have appeared in our garden - a sure sign that winter is on the way out.

This evening we went to a talk about Merlin which was given by Robin Crichton in Stobo Kirk. Merlin was a real person who lived in southern Scotland in the 6th century and he has associations with Stobo and Drumelzier (he is supposed to be buried in Drumelzier), It was all fascinating stuff - and I was even persuaded to buy Robin Crichton’s book.
