Slowly

Beautiful sunny day and slightly less cold so headed over to Brunstfield after a jolly FaceTime chat with the little family, for a walk and to see if the crocuses were out on the links....not enough to blip it turned out. Had a rather nice Bircher muesli in Honeycomb & Co whilst catching up with A and S on the phone.
Home quicker than I expected when V said she’d pop in to see me. Saw photos of her mum’s injuries following her fall on Thursday (horrific) and the tale of mix ups, delays and miscommunications was unbelievable. The only good news is that her mum isn’t in pain ( thanks to morphine) and seems cheery if very confused.
I then had to stay in to wait for new gas meter to be fixed so got on with laundry and sorting out the mess in the flat. Good to make so much progress even though the meter man never turned up (grr!)
Out to dinner at T&L’s. Very nice, with chat about Marrakesh, opera, sub editing and journalism, awards nights and the dreaded lecture capture. Timed leaving just wrong, so had to wait 20 mins at the bus stop on the way home....lucky it’s not so cold now!
