TWO SWAN BOBSLED

Another beautiful day on the river slopes and it was pleasing to see the family of Swannies preparing for their turn in the two swan bobsled event for team Australia (Southern Hemisphere team) in the Alternative Olympic Games (AOG) 2018.  Mother Swannie set about organising her charges with a nourishing feed from a boat on the river the canteen in readiness for the contest.  Swannie at the rear is a little despondent as it hasn't been chosen to compete tonight in the event.   Go Swannies, keep the feathers pinned and head down.  Go, Go, Go.

There were many swans on the river this morning and they do head from boat to boat hoping to be given a scrap or three.  I think most of them would be young swans and you only see them at the weekend when the boats are anchored.
