February colour...

I was out at the airport by 7.30 this morning taking S to catch her flight back to MN. Unfortunately the  nice  coffee shop by the security gates is closed so we simply said goodbye [ never gets easier :( ] then I left and came home where I did some tidying then went out for a wander in the woods nearby. It is a very grey, brown day with minimal colour so this painted tree caught my eye. I did hear woodpeckers and lots of blackbird song but not much else.
Off out to the Spring Quilt Fair with Mum and D this afternoon which will be nice. Have just heard from S that she is on the plane in Amsterdam ready for her final flight to MN. What a globe trotting family we are!
