Homeward bound

Last night it rained all night and this morning it was so misty and awful, you could not see anything out the window. We were all up quite early, Luke and his friends to go skiing - in the hope that the visibility would improve - and us to pack up and depart back to Zurich to fly home again. Sadly this trip, and in fact also on our New Year trip, we have not had great weather. Luke said the visibility improved in parts today but it was not a great day there. This is a shot as we drove through the village on our way back to Zurich - there was very low cloud and it was snowing lightly.

We had an uneventful flight home, other than the airports were busy which is to be expected for the half term week. It was wonderful going straight from Heathrow to collect Murdoch - he has had a happy time rooming with a girlfriend, a lovely golden retriever, at the kennels. As we drove in to fetch him we said how lucky we were to find these kennels which are on a farm, they are such lovely people who run it and Murdoch loves going there.

Luke and his friends leave early tomorrow morning to go back to their respective jobs in Germany and Spain. 

Now we are home, laundry is being done, and we are getting ready for the week ahead and back to the usual routines.
