“NINEVEH, heart of an ancient empire”

I visited today the exhibition “NINEVEH, heart of an ancient empire”. Around 700 BC Nineveh was the largest city of the world and capital of the Assyrian Empire. In 612 BC the city was destroyed. The city was located nearby the current city Mosul in Northern Iraq… @ RMO, Leiden, Netherlands
