Waiting...

... for the Chinese New Year's parade in downtown Washington D.C.  Not a trace of yesterday's snow remained and it was comfortable to be out and about.

The parade itself was disappointing: 10% Chinese stuff; 50% politicians and  the rest an uneasy combo of Irish dance, marching bands, and assorted unrelated groups. A Chinese lady who was visiting the US complained bitterly for most of the time....
