Seedhead in the sun

I got out in the garden this afternoon for the first time in ages. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of life bursting through in readiness for spring.
I cleared away a lot of dead stuff - filling the bin and a big builders bag with hard twigs and bits that wont compost. Even the Christmas tree  was cut up.
