Back In Black

So Ms H has been away since Thursday morning and arrived back today. She was off on a school creative writing trip and has come back full of confidence and enthusiasm (yes I know, a teenager)... it is her first choice of studies post school. 

She doesn't often share her writings with us, whether poems, stories or songs. She's happy to play the moody teenager role with us, but when we read her writings, she's like a mature grown up, with emotions, thoughts and reflectiveness we rarely see. She probably thinks she is always just being herself and isn't aware of the mainly one sided view we see.

It's something I am going to have to keep in the back of my mind when I am nagging her to keep her room tidy or pull her away from yet another netflix series... hmmm.. kids huh! Complicated...
