Bye bye Mittens!

I managed to get our visiting semi resident cat into a cat box this morning and take him to our vets to see if he was chipped. He was! He was a neutered 2 year old male, who seemingly lived about half a mile away across a busy main road. And he has a heart condition for which he gets medicated! The vet asked us to leave him there while she contacted the family. It felt quite strange leaving him there.

We were going back later with Lily to get her myxomatosis jab so we hoped to find out the news. We were thrilled to find his ‘mum’ there ready to take him home! She was so happy to have him back and thanked us for taking such good care of him. His name is Mittens. I shall miss him!
