Modern Family

Some interesting dynamics going on in this piece - one of the children has 3 legs and we saw her as the caregiver along with her mother.  Dad seems to be separated from the main unit and though the faces of the children in the carriage were young, their feet were "old and large".  The boy had a red ball stuffed in his mouth, so clearly he could not speak.  

Spent the evening at an art Museum with the artwork and some "family sculpting"-  an activity where you use people to "sculpt" the dynamics of your family.  Open to those who wanted to participate only.  This was the 3rd evening of 4 that is meant to be a respite for families going through the struggles of substance use disorder. Typically, we've spent time in the gallery with a particular piece, a creative project and then a discussion around self-care.  It has grown each week and we had a lively discussion last evening.
