Familiar in Sepia

Went to work, worked somewhat, stared out the window and thought this would be a nice shot for today.  The original was in colour but then I was reminded of old photographs of the city I grew up in and thought I'd try to capture the atmosphere in those sepia shots.  Tried for a moment to imagine how Rotterdam looked before its heart was bombed in 1940.  It must have been a cozy place at the time.  That past is gone forever, and so is mine, so forward is the only place to go.

An ordinary day.  Work during the day, MOOC and housekeeping, and Death in Paradise upon returning home.  Then there's the ever-faithful hubby.  His humour keeps me steady and sane.
