Good morning, Tavira!
This is the view from our hotel room over Tavira, although we can also see the salt pans stretching to the blue line of the sea, and if we look down into the street we see the odd little Presbyterian church. It’s not a particularly romantic view, but as the sun comes up in the morning it is transformed by this lovely golden glow.
Since taking this, I’ve visited a splendid Roman house, walked 16.50k, and had tea in a palace-turned-posada. And we returned to the place where last night we heard great Fado, bought the CD we didn’t have the cash for at the time, and chatted to the charming guitarist who introduced the performance.
Now I’m going for a shower before we hit a wine-tasting...
