Arlo’s hats

I met Marion at Arlo’s for a light lunch and a good chat - travel, film, books, families. I hadn’t noticed these hats on the wall before.

Then I collected Ella from school and tried to pick up a book she’d taken from home, called “Goodnight stories for rebel girls”, but the two we found belonged to other girls her teacher said. Maybe one of the others took hers home by mistake.

She told me she didn’t want to go to the moon with Tim Peake but Mrs Logan said they were going tomorrow. I tried to explain about a virtual journey and she’d not be really going but she wasn’t convinced though she did accept that school didn’t usually let them do anything dangerous, and that you had to train a long time for journeys in space.
