Guess where we have been!

Four of us have had a fabulous day out in .........yes you have guessed it.
Morecambe.

Going to Morecambe on the train is the best way to travel.
Through beautiful countryside both in Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Passing both Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough.
Following the rivers Ribble and Lune
We had clear blue sky and sunshine all day.
A bracing walk along the promenade.
Then lunch in a cafe overlooking Morecambe Bay with a wonderful view of the Lake District across the water. Still some snow on the fells.
Another walk back to the Midland hotel, where we had a drink before catching the train back to Leeds.
I can recommend this day out to everyone, but pick the right weather. Makes all the difference.
