So this was the sky as I was sat in town on Rose Street waiting for Jen, again :-/

After a discussion last night (a rather drunken discussion I imagine) it was decided to take a venison fillet, some veal escalopes, a gammon steak and a rack of lamb out of the freezer. The idea was a majestic mixed grill but in the clod light of day we decided that a tasting menu approach was probably more appropriate. So, in order, we had:

Venison fillet on a fondant potato with spinach and a cream of mushroom sauce
Braised veal in some rather delicious tomato based sauce
Rack of lamb with puy lentils

The gammon steak was cooked and cubed for use another day as neither of us could face any more food.
