Walk the wall!!

Today we become tourists having worked our buts off for the last 6 days at conference. We arranged a trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall and Underground Palace.

The weather was beautiful as we joined the hundreds of Chinese and foreign tourists. We took the cable car up to watchtower 14 and walked westward. From the distance you don't appreciate the gradient and the unevenness of the steps, so it was certainly a good workout!! I was here six years ago and there has been considerable development since then.

Having used my compact camera all week to grab blips in passing, it was good to be able to use the bigger camera and enjoy taking pictures.

As this is my 500th blip (with a bit of a jiggle of two days) I took my 5 balloons (4 red and 1 orange) and to include them in our pictures!! The pictures from this trip I will post to FlickR when I get home.

We are off to the zoo tomorrow!!!!!!!
