Early Morning

... at Auckland airport. Uneventful trip from Vancouver to Auckland but tiring as overnight long haul flights are. Landed about 5 am and the sky soon looked like this. It wasn’t an idle threat. We managed to get into Queenstown airport, which wasn’t certain due to the cyclone, only to find it was six degrees and pouring with rain! A glimpse through the clouds showed us it had snowed to quite low levels.
