Teide National Park

A large area in central Tenerife is covered by the Teide National Parkand we spent an amazing day there exploring. We went up the mountain - by cable car, through the cloud level, to beautiful sunshine at the top. It’s very high, 3718 metres at the summit and the air was noticeably thinner! Also a tad chilly - when we left the coast it was 18 degrees and at the top of the cable car lift it was minus18.
