Magpie Inkcap

For the second successive Sunday I was up early and at the Copper Horse for dawn, this time with a group of photographers from the Windsor Photographic Society. The sunrise was nowhere near as good as last week, but there were some interesting fungi to photograph and made the best subjects in the dull conditions. I spotted this magnificent species near to the park exit. It is apparently quite rare, but there was a 'murder' of Magpie Inkcaps there.
