Skiing
Took off to Achenkirch just over the border in Tyrol, Austria. The drive was dreadful in my heavy rear drive, automatic Ford Scorpio on summer tyres. We stopped in Garmisch Partenkirchen to hire tyre chains.
Didn't actually use them but it did give a degree of security having them in the boot.
Found a Bed & Breakfast and then set off to the slopes, hiring skis for Kate & J. Got on alright and Angie who can ski well did get them to do a few runs. But really need a weeks ski school.
Tomorrow we will try something else.
Nice evening meal in a restaurant in Achenkirch with children having Gulash soup. Kate ate all hers but Jonathan switched to my Schnitzel.
Back home Kate threw up all night, felt and looked like death, I suspect there was also a small element of her sensitive nature (in the nicest sense) making her uncomfortable and suspect to such an upset.
Didn't help that the house was crammed with all sorts of stuffed animals and weird horror type wood face carvings! She still talks about those 25 years later.
