A day out!

Weeks ago friend P noticed that Austwick Hall gardens were open today - not usually open to the public - showcasing the snowdrops. She booked the day off, I got it in my diary.

Reggie had his annual MOT and boosters today at the vets so I walked him there, mr H followed in the car so I had time to get home before going to meet P.

Just before Long Preston we pulled over to let an ambulance go past and half a mile further on we came to a halt!

Needless to say we never got to Austwick. However we turned round and found Be a Garden Maker at Wigglesworth. A gem of a cafe and a lovely little reclamation yard. They also run craft courses so we ended up booking one for May - to make a Willow hare!

We then called in at Utopia for coffee and a cake on the way home at Broughton Hall where I managed to photograph these snowdrops.

A lovely day out, but not quite as we planned! Mind you better than the poor soul who got airlifted to Leeds General from the crash we were stuck behind.

Hope all involved make a full recovery, but their mis fortune has meant we have discovered a little gem of a place.
