Toots in Solitude

Hopes Reservoir

A stunner of a day for a walk.
Climbing up the side of the waterfall was a bit taxing and I struggled slowly and weakly. When I got to the top there was conveniently placed a nice and dry door lying flat on the ground and in order to recuperate a bit I lay stretched out on it in the full warmth of the sun.
Until, "Are you okay mum?" Luke asked. The boys had walked right over the bridge and apparently Luke could see my feet sticking out where I lay, nothing else was in view and Luke, full of concern, rushed all the way back to check on me.
And Donald, he just stayed where he was, embroiled with his long lens pointing at some buzzard on high, and oblivious.
