Dreamy Snowdrops
B and I returned to Walsingham Abbey today to have another go at photographing snowdrops. The rain had stopped but it was overcast still when we arrived and extremely muddy! However, the sun came out towards the end of the afternoon which really made these delicate flowers come to life.
I couldn’t decide which image to blip but, in the end, chose a slightly dreamlike shot for my main blip and a close up with the sun behind them as an extra.
Snowdrops and bluebells seem particularly difficult to photograph especially when your walking among thousands of them. No photo can really do justice to the beauty of them, especially when seen en-masse. A magical experience indeed!
I wonder if the sap is stirring yet,
If wintry birds are dreaming of a mate,
If frozen snowdrops feel as yet the sun
And crocus fires are kindling one by one:
Sing Robin, Sing:
I still am sore in doubt concerning Spring.
