Munnar to Madurai

Today we left Munnar and Kerala to go to Madurai in Tamil Nadu - the scenery was astounding - the extra shows the road down from the hills with about 17 hair pin bends!  Our driver, Pramod, did an excellent job avoiding potholes and other vehicles on the rather narrow windy road! The main photo shows a lad picking pepper (peppercorns) by hand - very time consuming - and then the pepper drying out in the hot sun. When we got to Madurai we went out to visit a temple in the late afternoon - some street scene and colour attached to the vista. What an amazing time we are enjoying. It is very hot and dry here compared with Munnar.
