The Lucky Escape

We didn't have much milk this morning so I went off to Asda. Parked did my shopping dumped it in the car then walked to N's for a cup of tea & to see Gary her decorator was getting on. He is doing a really good job so I asked him to call around & give us a quote to do the hall stair & landing. I said my farewells walked back to the supermarket car park & low & behold I had a ticket on my windscreen.. As soon as I saw it i realised why I had got it. I'd parked in the disabled bay as always but today I forgot to display my badge....what an idiot ! I always talk to Dave who is the car park man & I managed to find him & tell him it was my car & could he let me off please. "Oh Yeh ...of colse mate - I di-n't realise it was yours cos it was so clean " Well we had a laugh and I asked for a picture & he agreed before going off to make a phone call to cancel the ticket. When he came back he said " If you get a le--ter come back ta me & I will salt it for ya - don't pay nuffink & don't worry about it nei-ver ! "

Got home had another laugh with C who called me a silly old fool. I said it pays sometimes to talk to people & today I proved it. Also bumped into Rob Newman today who I hadn't seen for a few years - good to catch up.

I had the intention of doing some painting but shoulder is really painful & head throbbing so ate lunch & then relaxed.

A new toy arrived today so when my head clears I will be playing wit that . For some time I've noticed that my D7200 (+lens) is really heavy & is affecting my arthritic elbow to the extent that it is painful afterwards & during use. Its a fab piece of kit but I decided that I needed something small but clever. The one I have bought is clever but not too clever so no interchangeable lens etc - something to slip in my pocket when I go out or we go away...

So the main shot is Dave the Parking Man & the extra is Gary the Decorator.
